To cultivate a strong safety culture, we conduct regular safety training programs, mock drills, and awareness campaigns for our employees. We comply with all applicable legislative and societal requirements to continuously improve environmental conditions. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate all accidents and injuries while minimizing risks associated with chemical handling.
We are dedicated to achieving zero discharge and promoting a greener environment. We have developed and implemented several non-polluting processes that minimize effluent generation.
Benzo-Chem and Gitanjali Chemicals have invested in ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) and safety equipment to ensure safe working practices.
Commitment to Plant Safety and Emergency Preparedness
We are dedicated to continuous improvement in plant safety and encourage active participation from every employee. We value their insights and suggestions in identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
To ensure operational safety, we conduct regular Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies and reviews. Safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, safety showers, eye wash fountains, and the fire hydrant system, undergoes fortnightly inspections to guarantee readiness in emergencies.
All electrical, civil, engineering, and maintenance work within the plant requires a work permit issued by the relevant department. Permits are granted only after verifying that all necessary safety precautions outlined in the checklist have been implemented.
A comprehensive On-site Emergency Plan is in place for the entire factory, outlining procedures for various emergency scenarios. We meticulously investigate and analyze all accidents to prevent recurrence and enhance safety protocols.
Environmental Protection Measures
Each plant is equipped with an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) featuring primary, secondary, and biodegradation facilities to minimize environmental impact. We utilize energy-efficient Triple Stage Evaporators to treat wastewater, allowing its reuse for gardening and cleaning purposes.
Employee Health and Well-being
We prioritize the health of our employees by conducting annual medical check-ups. Prescribed medications are provided as needed, based on expert medical advice.
